D-Neubrandenburg : Mike Svoboda starts his artist-in-residency with the  Neubrandenburger Philharmonie in the 2020/21 season as a soloist with his Love Hurts - Carmen Remix for trombone and orchestra under the direction of their chief conductor Sebastian Tewinkel.

Mike Svoboda's new "orchestral opener" – a powerful, compact work of 10-12 minutes – called Play will be premiered on a tour to Russia by the Jugend Sinfonieorchester Zürich conducted by David Bruchez-Lalli. The composition is a co-commission between the JSOZ and the Neubrandenburger Philharmonie.

D-Mannheim : world premiere of revised version of Mike Svoboda's Music for Trombone and Orchestra with the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, conducted by Mario Varga, and Mike Svoboda, solo trombone. The new version, among many changes, features the trombone section of the orchestra.
